A passenger on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru was unexpectedly confined to the aircraft’s restroom for the entirety of the journey. The airline has issued an apology and reportedly offered a refund, but the incident has captured the public’s attention.

The passenger was eventually freed after the plane landed in Bengaluru. Airport personnel were required to open the jammed toilet door.

The incident took place on a Monday night flight, which was delayed by two hours and took off from Mumbai at 2:10 AM. The passenger entered the restroom shortly after takeoff and became trapped when the door lock failed.

When the passenger and crew were unsuccessful in unlocking the door, the crew came up with a unique solution. A handwritten note was passed under the door, advising the passenger to remain calm and stay in the toilet until the plane landed.

The note quickly went viral, and many netizens found the situation comical, with some praising the crew’s quick thinking.

The flight landed in Bengaluru around 3:45 AM, where the door was opened by an engineer. SpiceJet expressed its regret and issued an apology to the passenger.
