Launched in November of the previous year, the Skoda Kylaq, a sub-compact SUV, has become a cornerstone of success for Skoda. The Kylaq has drastically changed Skoda India’s performance. The car has been so successful that the brand’s sales have more than doubled in the last seven months. The Kylaq competes directly with models like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Tata Nexon.
Skoda began delivering the Kylaq in January 2025. Since then, Skoda has sold 27,091 units of the Kylaq. This number represents 65% of the company’s overall sales, which totaled 41,748 units between January and July 2025. The Kylaq’s contribution culminated in a record-breaking month for Skoda in March 2025, with 7,422 cars sold—the company’s highest monthly sales to date. The Kylaq has been instrumental in elevating Skoda’s sales from 17,565 units to 41,748 units.
