KTM is developing a new 500cc twin-cylinder engine, which is expected to power adventure and naked bikes. A new RC model has also been spotted during testing, and it’s thought to be close to production. The engine and chassis of the KTM RC 490 may be supplied by CFMoto. The exhaust system design is similar to CFMoto models, differing from previous KTM prototypes. Given these design elements, the model could be the KTM RC 490. The existing RC 390 uses an older engine, suggesting KTM might be seeking a new engine for future RC models. The potential for the RC 490 to be launched in India is currently unknown. Its availability and price in India might be affected by the manufacturing and assembly location.
