An amusing and unfortunate incident occurred on a SpiceJet flight, where a passenger was confined to the lavatory throughout the journey from Mumbai to Bengaluru. The airline has issued an apology and reportedly offered compensation. The event has captured the public’s attention.

The passenger was freed after the plane landed in Bengaluru. Ground staff and engineers were able to open the locked toilet door. The flight, originally scheduled to depart at 10:55 PM, took off from Mumbai at 2:10 AM.

Shortly after takeoff, a passenger in seat 14D entered the restroom and found themselves locked inside due to a faulty locking mechanism. Despite the crew’s efforts, they could not open the door. The crew then composed a handwritten note, slipping it under the door to the passenger. The note requested that the passenger remain seated until the flight reached Bengaluru. The note’s image went viral, generating amusement online. The plane landed in Bengaluru around 3:45 AM and the door was opened by engineers. SpiceJet has since issued an apology for the incident and the inconvenience caused.
