Hyundai aims to strengthen its position in India with a series of new vehicle launches and the introduction of hybrid technologies. A key initiative involves the development of an all-new 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder turbo engine within the country. The new Creta and the Palisade SUV are also part of this plan, both expected to feature hybrid powertrains. The Creta might be equipped with the new 1.2-liter engine, while the Palisade could come with a 1.6-liter diesel hybrid, a 2.5-liter engine, or the V6 option. The new engine is designed with strong hybrid compatibility in mind, and is anticipated to be used across different chassis, potentially including the Venue and i20, in addition to the Bayon hatchback. The Verna is also a candidate to get a hybrid powertrain.
