Tata Motors has entered the electric vehicle market with the launch of the Tata Harrier EV, building on the growing momentum in the EV sector. The Harrier EV RWD has revealed its price, ranging from Rs 21.49 lakh to Rs 27.49 lakh. Bookings for the Harrier EV are set to open on July 2, 2025. The price breakdown for the Harrier EV RWD variants is as follows: Adventure 65, Adventure S 65, Fearless+ 65, Fearless +75, and Empowered 75. The price for the AC fast charger and installation is additional, while the top-spec empowered AWD variant’s price is pending.

Externally, the Harrier EV maintains a similar design to its ICE counterpart but has been updated to fit the EV lineup. It has a closed-off grill, a revised bumper, and distinctive design elements. The vehicle also includes 19-inch aero-optimized alloy wheels and EV badging. The Harrier EV is marginally longer and taller than the standard Harrier. A comprehensive comparison with other EVs, like the BE-6, XEV-9, Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv, and MG Windsor, highlights range, acceleration, battery capacity, features, drivetrain, power, torque, charging times, and prices.

The new Harrier EV utilizes an improved version of the ACTi EV platform, which debuted with the Punch EV. The base model features a 65 kWh LFP battery pack and a single motor at the rear, producing 238 hp. Higher trims will have a 75 kWh LFP battery and dual motors, providing a substantial 504 Nm of torque. The 75 kWh RWD and AWD variants boast a range of up to 627 km, and the RWD version offers a real-world range of 480-505 km. Using a 7.2 kWh AC charger, it takes 10.7 hours to charge the Harrier EV fully, whereas a 120 kW DC charger can charge from 20-80% in 25 minutes. The Harrier EV is also equipped with an Ultra Glide Multi-Link Suspension, frequency-dependent dampers, an off-road assist function, and a transparent mode for improved off-road capabilities, along with a regenerative braking system and a summon mode.
