The introduction of the FASTag Annual Pass by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) marks a significant advancement in simplifying toll payments and improving the overall highway travel experience. This pass offers private vehicle owners the opportunity to make up to 200 toll crossings for a fixed fee of ₹3,000 within a year. It is designed to reduce costs and enhance the convenience of highway travel.

The FASTag Annual Pass is valid across all national highways and expressways, resulting in substantial savings. Users can expect to pay approximately ₹15 per toll, as opposed to the standard charges that often range from ₹50 to ₹60. The pass also offers the benefit of bypassing the long queues typically found at toll plazas.

The annual pass is exclusively for cars, jeeps, and vans. Commercial vehicles are not eligible. To start using the annual pass, follow the activation process.

    1. Using the Rajmarg Yatra App or NHAI Website: The pass can be activated through the Rajmarg Yatra mobile app or the official NHAI website. Make sure you have a stable internet connection and the most recent version of the app. The app is available on Android and iOS devices.

    2. Log In and Verify Eligibility: Log in using your mobile number or vehicle registration number. Ensure your FASTag is active, properly installed on your vehicle, linked to a valid vehicle registration number, and not blacklisted. Verify that your vehicle is registered as private to qualify for the pass.

    3. Provide Vehicle and FASTag Details: Enter all required information about your vehicle and FASTag. Upload any required documents, such as your registration certificate and a recent photo. Double-check the information before submitting.

    4. Make the Payment: Pay the ₹3,000 fee for the annual pass using UPI, debit/credit card, or net banking. Payments cannot be made using wallet balance. Keep a record of your payment confirmation.

    5. Confirmation of Activation: The annual pass will be activated on your existing FASTag after payment and verification. The process usually takes a couple of hours, but it might take up to 24 hours. You will receive a confirmation SMS. Check the status of your pass on the app or the NHAI website before using it at the toll plazas.
