The FASTag annual pass, introduced from August 15, 2025, has proven popular nationwide. The National Highway Authority of India designed the pass to provide a better travel experience by saving time and fuel. Frequent travelers benefit greatly from this budget-friendly option, as it allows for up to 200 toll-free crossings each year, bypassing the usual per-trip toll payments.
The pass is applicable for owners of private cars, jeeps, and vans using designated National Highway (NH) and National Expressway (NE) fee plazas without incurring charges per crossing. The pass is valid for one year or 200 crossings, whichever comes first. The FASTag annual pass was launched on Independence Day.
To activate your annual pass, you have two options: the Rajmargyatra mobile application and the NHAI website. The required documents include the Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), a passport-sized photograph of the vehicle owner, KYC documentation, and proof of identity and address.
