Safe motorcycle operation involves more than just proficient riding skills; the integrated safety features on your bike play a critical role. Modern motorcycles are equipped with various safety technologies, designed to enhance rider safety beyond just performance and aesthetics. Many riders might be unaware of these features, therefore not fully utilizing their benefits. If you are interested in learning about the key safety features, this information is very important.

    **Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)**
ABS is widely recognized as a significant advancement in motorcycle safety. It prevents the wheels from locking up when hard braking is applied. This system is particularly effective on slippery surfaces, reducing the risk of tire skidding. This allows the rider to maintain control of the bike, and minimizes the likelihood of accidents. ABS is increasingly common, even in bikes with smaller engines.

    **Combi Braking System (CBS)**
CBS is primarily used in lower displacement bikes, typically 125cc and below. It links the front and rear brakes. When the rear brake is engaged, the system automatically applies the front brake, distributing braking force across both wheels. This helps to stop the bike more efficiently and minimizes the chance of skidding.

    **Traction Control System (TCS)**
TCS is usually found on high-performance and premium bikes. It monitors the speed of the wheels. If the rear wheel spins excessively, increasing the risk of a loss of control (such as on wet or sandy roads), TCS reduces the engine’s power output. This maintains the tire’s grip on the road, preventing the bike from skidding. It also helps to stabilize the bike during aggressive acceleration.
