The Citroen C3 Aircross SUV has achieved a 5-star safety rating for adult occupant protection in the Bharat NCAP. The SUV earned 27.05 points out of 33 for adult safety, leading to a 4-star rating for child safety with a score of 40 out of 49. The Aircross is the 22nd car to attain a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP. The assessment showed that the Aircross’ structure and footwell remained stable in the crash tests. Adult occupant protection levels were deemed good to adequate across all body regions in frontal and side impact scenarios. The side pole test demonstrated effective head protection through curtain airbags. When it comes to child occupants, the Aircross provided comprehensive protection to both 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies utilizing ISOFIX anchorages and support legs. i-Size anchorages are included as standard. The Citroen Aircross features an extensive array of safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill-hold assist, three-point seatbelts for all occupants with reminders, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The body structure is composed of High Strength Steel (HSS), Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS), and Ultra High Strength Steel (UHSS) to enhance crash energy absorption. For added comfort and convenience, the SUV offers LED projector headlamps, automatic air-conditioning, power-folding ORVMs, a soft-touch dashboard, rear AC vents, and repositioned power window switches. Available transmission options comprise a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and a 6-speed automatic. Seating configurations include a 5-seater, and a 5+2 seater, for added versatility. Engine choices encompass a 1.2L PureTech 110 turbocharged petrol engine, generating 110 PS and 205 Nm, and a 1.2L PureTech 82 naturally aspirated petrol engine.
