BMW India has declared a price increase of up to three percent, taking effect from September 1, 2025. This price adjustment will encompass all BMW models available in the Indian market. The company attributes the price hike to a combination of factors, including fluctuations in the dollar-rupee exchange rate, elevated costs for automotive components and transportation, and various supply chain constraints, which have consequently impacted the overall pricing of its vehicles. The price range for BMW cars starts with the 2 Series Gran Coupe, with prices starting from ₹46.90 lakh, and going up to ₹2.60 crore (ex-showroom) for the XM Performance SUV. This marks the third price increase that BMW has implemented this year. Previous price adjustments were made in January and April. As a result of these three increases, the prices of these vehicles have increased by approximately 10 percent.
BMW has experienced a strong sales performance during the first half of the year and aims to sustain this momentum in the remaining months. The company’s sales strategy includes both locally assembled and fully imported models. Locally assembled models, including the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, 3 Series Long Wheelbase, 5 Series Long Wheelbase, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X7, M340i, and iX1 Long Wheelbase, are assembled at BMW’s plant in Tamil Nadu. The fully imported models (CBUs) include the i4, i5, i7, i7 M70, iX, Z4 M40i, M2 Coupe, M4 Competition, M4 CS, M5, M8 Competition Coupe, and XM.
Despite the price increase, BMW plans to launch new models during the festive season. Furthermore, to assist customers, BMW will also offer financial options like easy EMIs, leasing programs, and buy-back offers. Even with the price increases, the customer experience and product offerings will continue to be of high quality.
