Ather Energy is considering adding cruise control to its 450 series electric scooters, with a potential announcement slated for the 2025 Community Day on August 30, 2025. Along with this feature, the company may also unveil a new entry-level electric scooter model. Updates for existing models are also expected to be revealed. Industry insiders suggest that the 450X and 450 Apex models will likely receive the cruise control functionality. This feature will be available via an over-the-air update to users with the Atherstack Pro software installed. The 450s, 450X, and 450 Apex make up the current 450 series. This would follow Ola Electric’s lead, as they had already included this feature in their S1 series.

The Ather 450s, the base model, is available with two battery options. The 2.9 kWh base model is priced at ₹1.23 lakh ex-showroom, while the top model with a 3.7 kWh battery costs ₹1.43 lakh ex-showroom. The 2.9 kWh battery offers a range of 122 kilometers, whereas the larger battery provides a range of 161 kilometers. The 450s has a top speed of 90 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.9 seconds. The Atherstack Pro, which includes turn-by-turn navigation, can be added to the 450s for ₹15,000.

The Ather 450X comes with a price tag of ₹1.50 lakh (2.9 kWh) and ₹1.60 lakh (3.7 kWh). The smaller battery offers a range of 126 km, and the larger battery provides a range of 161 km. It also boasts a top speed of 90 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.3 seconds. The Atherstack Pro costs ₹17,000 (2.9 kWh) and ₹20,000 (3.7 kWh). The 2.9 kWh model includes location sharing and a 5-year/50,000 km battery warranty, while the 3.7 kWh model includes a 7-inch touchscreen, magic twist, theft alert, and other features.

The Ather 450 Apex is a limited-edition model priced at ₹1.84 lakh ex-showroom, launched on the company’s 10th anniversary. It is equipped with a 3.7 kWh battery, offering a range of 157 km. It has a top speed of 100 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.9 seconds. Atherstack Pro is included.
