The Indian automotive landscape is gearing up for a flurry of new car launches in 2025. While several models have already been introduced, more are on the horizon, particularly in anticipation of the festive season. Major automotive players such as Hyundai, Renault, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, and Vinfast are set to expand their offerings.
**Renault Kiger Facelift: Refreshing the Compact SUV**
The Renault Kiger Compact SUV is scheduled for a facelift on August 24, 2025, nearly four years after its initial release. The updated model will showcase design enhancements and feature upgrades, while retaining the existing 1.0-liter petrol engine.
**Maruti Escudo: A New Competitor in the SUV Segment**
Maruti Suzuki will launch the Escudo, a 5-seater SUV, on September 3, 2025, aimed at competing with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The Escudo, to be sold through Maruti Suzuki’s Arena showrooms, is expected to be based on the Grand Vitara, with a CNG variant potentially available.
**Hyundai Venue: Next-Generation Updates**
The next generation Hyundai Venue is slated for launch on October 24, 2025. The model has been observed during testing and will introduce design and interior updates, potentially including features found in the Creta.
**Vinfast’s Electric SUV Entry: VF6 and VF7**
Vinfast, a Vietnamese automaker, plans to launch two new electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7, in India. Bookings are currently open, with local assembly taking place in Tamil Nadu. The VF7 is expected to offer a range exceeding 400 kilometers with a 70.8kWh battery, while the VF6 is also projected to have a similar range with a 59.6kWh battery.
**Tata Punch Facelift: Continuing Success**
Tata Motors is expected to release an updated version of the Tata Punch by the end of 2025. The 2025 Tata Punch facelift could draw inspiration from the Punch EV in terms of styling and features. The existing 1.2-liter petrol engine is expected to remain.
