A senior police officer stated the case has been registered below sections 509 (phrase, gesture or act meant to insult the modesty of a lady) and 354 A (sexual harassment and punishment for harassment) of the Indian Penal Code at the criticism of the journalist alleging that she is being focused via an unidentified workforce of other people on “Bulli Bai” portal.
The police stated no arrests had been made within the case to this point and a probe is underway.
