  • Exclusive: Tanishaa Mukerji Opens Up About Not Taking Any Career Advice From Sister Kajol And Ajay Devgn Due To This Reason | People News

Tanishaa Mukerji may belong to a filmy family, but the actress didn’t get the kind of recognition her sister Kajol and mother Tanuja received in showbiz. Now Tanishaa is all set to make her OTT debut and before the release, she exclusively got candid with Zee News English.

We quizzed the actress about her OTT debut. We questioned how much she enjoys the format, “I have always had a massive amount of respect and admiration for the way OTT platforms operate and its wonderful pool of artists. I have always loved the quality of content that usually comes on OTT and I feel Some of the content that have come on OTT in the last few years has been incredible and immensely respected. Luckily for me and by God’s grace, I always wanted to start my work as an OTT actor. ‘Veer Murarbaji’ worked out and I am extremely happy and thrilled to have started working here. I feel I am being welcomed with open arms and I hope the journey continues to move like this going forward as well.”

Tanishaa has gained more fame by doing reality shows compared to films, when asked about the same she said,” I partially agree with you here. Yes without any doubt, shows like Jhalak have given me a lot of love. However, my first point of recognition has always been blessed to have had a loyal audience since the time I have been doing films. However, it can’t be compared to the fame gratification. and love of the audience I received when I started doing films. Reality shows have been an extension of that love and admiration and I am blessed that way.”

When said her journey in Bollywood was unique and quite interesting, and has done films way ahead of its time eg ‘Neil N Nikki’? Is this the good phase for budding new actors compared to the time she started, “Definitely this is a better phase for actors because there’s so much more work out there. I also think that when I started, there were fewer people. So, now , it might be a good phase with a lot more competition. ‘Neil N Nilki’ made a huge impact on people’s minds and the. the way everything about it went.”

She said, “I think, as a character, Nikki made a huge impact on a lot of women. That’s what being an actor is about. It is to make an impact. Today, it is not about the number of films that you do It’s about that one film or two films that makes that kind of impact to stand out. t making the kind of impact you should be making. One might do 100 films yet have 1 impact films. I think what’s happening with cinema and OTT today. I think I did it many years ago with Neil N Nikki. Today, the reason why we don’t have many superstars is because you don’t actually see. that impact being made through cinema and their films. They are doing a lot of work but there’s not necessarily that impact.”

When asked about not having a successful run in her career compared to her family, and asked about her journey,” Like I said, everyone has an individual journey and I have never brought up with the attitude of comparison. I have always been brought up I think each one is an individual and each one has their fabulous journeys and careers but its also the journey that they have had that matters. “I have never been the one to compare and so I really don’t think that’s a part of my personality.”

Asked about following any advice from sister Kajol and brother-in-law Ajay Devgn, “Well, I am someone who always listens to everyone and eventually follows her own heart and instinct. The best thing about this approach is that it teaches you accountability. If you get success, the credit is yours and if you fail, then also it’s your responsibility in terms of how you handle it, keep that behind and move forward. While I always admire the good work around me, especially of Kajol and Ajay, I focus on my own journey and what I can do best going forward. But yes, one thing that all three of us relate with is the idea of listening to our heart and doing what we feel will make us happy or challenge ourselves as an artist. That’s a thought process we all have.

  • Foreign Investors Infuse $436 Mn In India’s Real Estate Sector, 139 Per Cent YOY Increase In Q3 2024 | Economy News

New Delhi: Institutional investments in India’s real estate sector witnessed an annual growth of 41 per cent in Q3 2024, reaching $0.96 billion. However, it sharply declined from the $3.1 billion record investments received in the previous quarter, according to a report.

A Vestian Research report said that despite this significant quarterly decline of 69 per cent, the outlook remains positive as investment nearly touches a billion mark.

“The significant uptick in investments compared to the previous year is a testament to India’s robust economic growth amid prevailing geopolitical challenges. As a result, the share of foreign investors increased from 27 per cent in Q3 2023 to 46 per cent in Q3 2024,” it said.

“Conversely, the share of domestic investors declined to 43 per cent in Q3 2024 from 71 per cent in the same quarter a year earlier. However, the decrease was only 15 per cent in terms of value,” the report said.

Vestian CEO Shrinivas Rao said: “Investors have shown confidence in India’s growth story on the back of robust GDP growth. As a result, the real estate sector witnessed increased participation from foreign investors which led to institutional investments touching a billion mark in Q3 2024.”

“Additionally, domestic investors are also actively participating, supported by the rapid infrastructure development across the country,” he added.

Residential assets were the first preference for domestic investors during Q3 2024 whereas foreign investors accounted for 64 per cent of the commercial deals. The growing prominence of work-from-office mandates and GCCs (global capability centres) lured foreign investors, leading to an increase in the share of commercial investments from 24 per cent in Q3 2023 to 71 per cent in Q3 2024.

On the other hand, the share of the residential sector reduced to 19 per cent in Q3 2024 from 44 per cent in the same period a year earlier. However, investment in residential assets is expected to grow in the coming quarters as niche asset classes such as co-living, senior housing, and serviced apartments are gaining traction.

According to the report, Chennai received the highest investments during Q3 2024 with a 48 per cent share, and a majority of investments in the city were concentrated in industrial & warehousing, commercial, and residential sectors.

  • Virender Sehwag Advises Babar Azam: Play Domestic Cricket, Work On Fitness For Comeback | cricket news

Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag took a dig at Pakistan batsman Babar Azam’s recent performance in international cricket and asked him to work on his fitness. Ahead of the second Test match against England in Multan, Pakistan’s selection committee took everyone by surprise after dropping the former Pakistan captain Babar Azam from the final two long-format matches of the series against the Three Lions.

Kamran Ghulam was handed his maiden Test cap and placed to fill Babar’s position as Pakistan hunted to level down the series. The batting all-rounder was at the receiving end of criticism from some sections of fans before and during the Test.

Despite a tough time, the 29-year-old showed grit and resilience against a fierce English bowling line-up to keep Pakistan in the thick of the action. With an array of shots, he kept the opposition on their toes and smashed 118 off 124 deliveries.

Speaking on Shoaib Akhtar’s official YouTube channel, Sehwag said that Babar should take part in domestic cricket now and then make a comeback in international cricket as a mentally stronger player.

“Babar Azam should play domestic cricket now. He should work on his fitness, spend some time with family, then come back to international cricket as a physically fitter and mentally stronger player,” Sehwag said.

The former India cricketer added that the former Pakistan skipper has been more impacted mentally. The 46-year-old also asked Babar to be mentally strong. “With expectations from Babar decreasing and his resignation from captaincy, it seems he has been more impacted mentally than in terms of technique. He needs to stay mentally strong. He’s a talented player, and players like him tend to bounce back quickly,” he added.

While Ghulam’s knock set the tone of the Test for Pakistan, it was Noman Ali and Sajid Khan who dictated the outcome with their spin prowess.

The duo took all 20 wickets in the second Test, leaving England completely baffled in the process. While Sajid starred with his figures of 7/111 in the first innings, the plaudits belonged to Noman in the second innings for his splendid effort of 8/46.

With a 125-run victory, Pakistan leveled the series at 1-1, taking the series decider to Rawalpindi, beginning on October 24.

  • Maharashtra Election 2024: Amid Seat-Sharing Deadlock, Sena-UBT’s ‘Sacrifice’ Message For Congress |

With stalemate continuing over seat-sharing in the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance, Shiv Sena-UBT Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has suggested that parties should make a few sacrifices for the betterment of Maharashtra. Giving an example of the Lok Sabha polls where Congress contested more seats, Raut said that this election is about removing a ‘corrupt’ government from Maharashtra.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said, “We have been in politics for years, every party feels that their workers should be made candidates…Everyone has the right to speak about their role but when it comes to seat sharing, everyone has to make a few sacrifices and take a step back.”

When asked if Congress is ready to sacrifice and give up a few seats to other allies in Maha Vikas Aghadi, Raut says, “This is not about sacrifice, this is about national interest and Maharashtra’s interest…We had indeed shown big-heartedness (during seat sharing for Lok Sabha elections) because we had to defeat enemies of the Constitution. Today, we have to remove from power, a corrupt Government in Maharashtra.”

Raut said that the seat-sharing talks will be finalised by this evening. The Congress, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) and Shiv Sena-UBT are part of Maha Vikash Aghadi. The assembly elections for the 288 seats will take place on November 20 and the counting of votes will take place on November 23.

The Congress is keen on contesting around 110 seats while the Sena-UBT is of the view that all three major partners should contest an equal number of seats or at least below 100 to accommodate smaller allies like the Samajwadi Party, Left parties, and the Peasants and Workers Party.
