  • Traffic Challans On WhatsApp In Delhi: Pay Your Challan Soon Via UPI With Just One Click; How to Pay Challan Online |

Traffic Challans On Whatsapp In Delhi: The process of paying challans for traffic violations is about to become as easy as making payments while shopping online on e-commerce platforms. The Delhi government has now issued a tender to provide WhatsApp Business and an application programming interface for traffic rule-related challan.

So, Delhi’s transport department will soon start sending e-challan to commercial vehicle owners through WhatsApp. Currently, around 1,000-1,500 e-challans are issued daily.

Following this, the challan for violating traffic rules will be automatically sent to the violator’s WhatsApp. This message will also contain a payment link. After this, users can use UPI or any other payment gateway to pay one or more challan directly from there.

According to the tender document, the service provider needs to develop a system through which the Transport Department can make payments directly via WhatsApp. These messages will be sent in both Hindi and English.

Furthermore, the new system will automate various notifications, including e-challan, payment reminders, due date alerts, payment receipts, and certificates. This automation ensures vehicle owners stay informed about pending dues, which is expected to improve compliance and reduce traffic violations.

Payments Can Also Be Made Via UPI

According to a report from the Times of India, an official familiar with the matter stated that this framework should be capable of sending messages in media formats such as photos, PDFs, and videos. This has been permitted by WhatsApp.

In addition to the WhatsApp payment option, challan payments can also be made through popular UPI apps like Google Pay, BHIM, and other platforms.

With the introduction of the new system, people will be able to pay their challan quickly and easily. The official further stated that after making a payment through one of these apps, a push notification will be sent every time a new challan is generated.

Goal To Resolve Pending Traffic Challans

This system will initially focus on traffic-related challan. The official said that since WhatsApp has a push message feature, it will continue to remind individuals that there is a pending challan.

Currently, people use the government’s transport e-challan website to pay fines. Another official said, “Many vehicle owners do not receive SMS notifications for challan for weeks. Once our system is developed, this problem will be resolved.”

How To Pay Traffic Challan Online

    Step 1: Open the website – echallan.parivahan.gov.

Step 2: From the drop-down menu under ‘Check Online Service,’ select ‘Check Challan Status’

Step 3: Enter the required information, including your vehicle details and the captcha code provided.

Step 4: Click on the ‘Get Details’ button to view your challan status.

Step 5: If there are any outstanding challans, click on the ‘Pay Now’ option.

Step 6: Choose your preferred payment method to settle the challan fees and note down the transaction ID for future reference after completing the transaction.

  • ‘Can’t Even Remotely…’: CJI Chandrachud Responds To PM Modi’s Ganesh Puja Visit Criticism |

Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud scheduled to retire on November 10, addressed the recent controversy over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit at CJI’s residence for Ganpati puja festivities. The Chief Justice said that there is ‘enough maturity’ among constitutional court judges and executive leaders to keep judicial matters completely out of any discussions.

The chief Justice described the meeting as a routine interaction. “There is enough maturity among judges of constitutional courts and the heads of the executive to firmly keep aside judicial matters out of the purview of any discussion,” he stated.

Speaking at the Loksatta lecture series in Mumbai on Sunday, Chief Justice DY Chandrachud clarified that interactions between the judiciary and the government were strictly professional, with no deals or agreements being made. He emphasized that these meetings focused only on addressing infrastructure needs of the courts, not on influencing judicial decisions.

He further said, “We know our duties in the democratic system of governance, and the political executive know theirs. No judge, least of them the Chief Justice of India or Chief Justices, can even remotely invite any threat, actual or perceived, to the independence of the judiciary.”

Last month, images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi performing a Ganesh Aarati alongside Chief Justice DY Chandrachud at the CJI’s residence surfaced online, sparking questions from the Opposition. The Opposition raised concerns over the Prime Minister’s informal presence at the residence of the country’s top judicial figure.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut called for Chief Justice Chandrachud to recuse himself from the ongoing legal battle between Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Eknath Shinde-led faction.

Party leader Priyanka Chaturvedi echoed this concern, citing multiple adjournments in the Sena vs. Sena case as cause for scrutiny.

Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud will retire on November 10, with Justice Sanjiv Khanna set to take over as the Supreme Court’s next head.

  • Tata Aircraft’s Vadodara Plant To Deliver First Aircraft In 2026: Chairman Tata Sons | Mobility News

Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran on Monday said that the TATA Aircraft Complex, built in partnership with Airbus, aims to deliver its first C295 aircraft within the next two years. “Exactly after two years from now, we will deliver the first indigenously manufactured C-295 Aircraft,” Tata Sons Chairman said in his address at the inauguration of the TATA Aircraft Complex for manufacturing C295 military transport aircraft in Vadodara in Gujarat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez inaugurated the country’s first private military transport aircraft production plant here today. Chandrasekaran emphasised, “This is a very, very important day for India and Indian defence sector. We will deliver the first aircraft in next two years. This project will propel India into the next generation of advanced manufacturing. It will build a diverse and sophisticated skills ecosystem, as well as a very strong supply of base, more importantly, give a lot of high tech opportunities for our entrepreneurs and youth.”

The facility marks a significant step forward in India’s defence manufacturing capabilities and exemplifies the “Make in India” initiative, providing a new impetus for the country to emerge as a global hub for aerospace production. Chandrasekaran credited the visionary leadership of Ratan Tata for conceiving the project over a decade ago in 2012.

He said, “I will fail in my duty if I forget to mention that this project was originally conceived more than a decade ago, in 2012, by the then Tata Sons Chairman, Ratan Tata Ji, who led the whole concept to build a relationship with Airbus and created this partnership with Airbus and laid the foundation stone for this opportunity.”

He added, “So I would like to remember him for his visionary leadership in this very path-breaking initiative. It is a historic moment not only for the Tata Group but also for India.”

Chandrasekaran said that the first 200 engineers from Tata Group are already in Spain going through the training that is required. “We have worked with 40 SME companies and we will be adding more companies to build the entire localisation that is required for the product…,” he said.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez also addressed the gathering, praising the collaboration between Tata and Airbus as an extraordinary example of partnership.

He said, “Prime Minister Modi, this is your vision to turn India into an industrial powerhouse. This partnership between Airbus and TATA will contribute to the progress of the Indian aerospace industry, and will open new doors for the arrival of other European companies.”

He added, “This project brings together the best of two worlds. Tata is probably the best exponent of Indian industrial strength. It is a giant among giants. If Indian companies want to grow they can trust Spain companies.” Highlighting the synergy between Indian and Spanish industries, he described Tata as “a giant among giants” and the best representative of Indian industrial strength.

He said, “Airbus opens a new chapter, patterning with India’s Defence and Space industry, this project strengthens our industrial ties while underlying our country’s deep commitment as a reliable and esoteric partner, and it shows as well the capabilities of the Spanish defence industry, with its world-class expertise and its well earned international reputation.”

He added, “Today, we’re taking another step forward, a strategic step focused on a key industrial and technological field, the presence of Spanish companies in India and Indian companies in Spain is growing. This growing presence is based on a few pillars, long-term vision, the search for reliable partners, and the commitment to develop Industries at the local level, to create jobs and wealth across all the territory.”

  • Japan’s Ruling Coalition Loses Majority In Lower House, Creating Political Uncertainty. world news

TOKYO: Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba’s ruling coalition lost a majority in the 465-seat lower house in a key parliamentary election on Sunday, a punishment by voters’ outrage over the governing party’s extensive financial scandals. Ishiba’s Liberal Democratic Party remains the top party in Japan’s parliament, and a change of government is not expected. But the results create political uncertainty.

Falling short of a majority makes it difficult for Ishiba to get his party’s policies through parliament, and he may need to find a third coalition partner. The LDP’s coalition retains a majority in the less powerful upper house. All told, the ruling coalition with junior partner Komeito secured 215 seats, down sharply from the majority of 279 it previously held, according to Japanese media. It is the coalition’s worst result since briefly falling from power in 2009.

Ishiba took office on October 1 and immediately ordered the election in hopes of shoring up support after his predecessor, Fumio Kishida, failed to address public outrage over the LDP’s scandals. “The results so far have been extremely severe, and we take them very seriously,” Ishiba told Japan’s national NHK television late Sunday. “I believe the voters are telling us to reflect more and become a party that lives up to their expectations.”

Ishiba said the LDP would still lead a ruling coalition and tackle key policies, compile a planned supplementary budget and pursue political reform. He indicated that his party is open to cooperating with opposition groups if that suits the public’s expectations. The Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, led by centrist leader Yoshihiko Noda, made huge gains to 148 seats, from its previous 98. “We accomplished our goal of preventing the ruling coalition from a majority, which was a major achievement,” Noda said.

Noda called the election a rare chance for a change of government, and said he seeks to lead a coalition with other opposition groups to do so. But his party has had trouble finding partners, and many voters were skeptical about the opposition’s ability and inexperience. For Ishiba, potential additional partners include the Democratic Party of the People, which calls for lower taxes, and the conservative Japan Innovation Party.

DPP head Yuichiro Tamaki said he was open to “a partial alliance”. Innovation Party chief Nobuyuki Baba has denied any intention to cooperate. The centrist DPP quadrupled to 28 seats, while the conservative Innovation Party slipped to 38. Ishiba may also face backlash from a number of scandal-tainted lawmakers with former leader Shinzo Abe’s faction, whom Ishiba had un-endorsed for Sunday’s election in an attempt to regain public support.

The LDP is less cohesive now and could enter the era of short-lived prime ministers. Ishiba is expected to last at least until the ruling bloc approves key budget plans at the end of December. “The public’s criticisms against the slush funds scandal has intensified, and it won’t go away easily,” said Izuru Makihara, a University of Tokyo professor of politics and public policy.

“There is a growing sense of fairness, and people are rejecting privileges for politicians.” Makihara suggested Ishiba needs bold political reform measures to regain public trust. A total of 1,344 candidates, including a record 314 women, ran for office in Sunday’s election. In another blow to the ruling coalition, a number of LDP veterans who have served in Cabinet posts, as well as Komeito’s new leader, Keiichi Ishii, lost seats.

Experts say a CDPJ-led government is not in the picture because of its lack of viable policies. “If they take power and try to change the economic and diplomatic policies of the current government, they will only end up collapsing right away,” Makihara said. Realistically, Ishiba’s ruling coalition would seek a partnership with either the Innovation Party or the Democratic Party of the People, he said.

At a downtown Tokyo polling station, a number of voters said they had considered the corruption scandal and economic measures in deciding how to vote. Once a popular politician known for criticism of even his own party’s policies, Ishiba has also seen support for his weeks-old Cabinet plunge. Ishiba pledged to revitalize the rural economy, address Japan’s falling birth rate and bolster defense. But his Cabinet has familiar faces, with only two women, and was seen as alienating members of the faction led by late premier Shinzo Abe. Ishiba quickly retreated from earlier support for a dual surname option for married couples and legalizing same-sex marriage, an apparent compromise to the party’s influential ultra-conservatives.

His popularity fell because of “the gap in what the public expected him to be as prime minister versus the reality of what he brought as prime minister”, said Rintaro Nishimura, a political analyst at The Asia Group.
