NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind authorised the resignations of Union ministers Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Ram Chandra Prasad Singh with rapid impact, in step with a Rashtrapati Bhavan remark on Wednesday.
Minority Affairs Minister Naqvi and Metal Minister Singh submitted their resignations to Top Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, an afternoon ahead of the of completion in their Rajya Sabha time period.

In line with the Rashtrapati Bhavan remark, “As prompt through the Top Minister, the President has directed that Smriti Zubin Irani, Cupboard Minister, be assigned the price of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, along with her present portfolio.”
Cupboard Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has been assigned the price of the Ministry of Metal, along with his present portfolio.
