‘Political vendetta’: Uddhav govt got rid of safety duvet of 16 revolt MLAs, says Shinde

MUMBAI: Dissident Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde on Saturday alleged that the Maharashtra govt has withdrawn the protection duvet supplied on the flats of 16 revolt legislators, together with himself, and dubbed the motion as “political vendetta”.

Shinde, who’s lately tenting in Guwahati with the revolt legislators, tweeted a letter signed through the 16 MLAs this is addressed to Leader Minister Uddhav Thackeray and House Minister Dilip Walse Patil.

Within the letter, the legislators mentioned CM Thackeray and the leaders of the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance can be accountable if any hurt is led to to their members of the family.

In his tweet, Shinde alleged that the protection duvet of the 16 revolt Sena legislators used to be withdrawn at the orders of Thackeray and Walse Patil because of “political vendetta”.

“The federal government is accountable for the protection of those legislators,” he added. Within the letter, the legislators demanded that their safety duvet be reinstated.

“If our members of the family are harmed, then the executive minister, leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) govt like Sharad Pawar, Sanjay Raut and Aaditya Thackeray can be accountable,” the letter mentioned.

The protection duvet, which is equipped at their place of abode in addition to to their members of the family as in keeping with the protocol, has been withdrawn illegally and unlawfully as an act of revenge, it mentioned.
