CHENNAI: The College Grants Fee (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Schooling (AICTE) on Wednesday recommended all Indian upper schooling establishments (HEI) to sign in on EducationIndia portal, with a view to draw in international scholars.
The portal has been designed to show off the strengths of Indian establishments to world scholars and it targets to make all knowledge relating to HEIs around the nation to be had to the world scholars at one position.
UGC has requested all lndian HEIs which can be admitting or are desirous of admitting world scholars to replace related main points at the portal on the earliest.
“Within the first section, registration is open for establishments that have admitted world scholars as according to the most recent AISHE information. In the second one section, registration might be opened for different establishments who want to sign in and are differently eligible to confess international scholars,” reads the professional commentary of UGC and AICTE.
Tutorial establishments within the State have welcomed the initiative. “World scholars to check in India needed to do their very own homework. They used to talk over with web pages of various universities to gather knowledge. Alternatively, the portal will deliver each knowledge at one position and scholars can get unique details about HEIs,” stated Ok Sashidharan, lecturer in a non-public college within the town.
