In a display of faith and determination, Indian T20 World Cup captain Suryakumar Yadav, along with vice-captain Hardik Pandya and head coach Gautam Gambhir, visited the Hanuman Temple within the Narendra Modi Stadium campus in Ahmedabad. This ritual comes just ahead of the high-stakes final against New Zealand on Sunday, where India aims to clinch the title.

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is buzzing with anticipation as fans from across the nation rally behind Team India. Reports indicate that prayers and rituals are underway everywhere, from the sacred ghats of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, where the Harihar Aarti Committee performed a special Ganga Aarti for victory, to local temples near the venue. Fans clutched posters of their favorite players, chanting slogans for success.

One enthusiastic supporter told reporters, ‘I’m 100% sure India will win this. The vibe reminds me of the 2023 ODI World Cup final, but this time, we’ll bring it home.’ Another added, ‘Sunday’s clash will be thrilling, but the cup is ours. Our players will dominate and secure back-to-back T20 titles.’

India has been nearly flawless in the tournament, losing just one match. They advanced to the final by defeating England by 7 runs in a nail-biter semifinal. New Zealand, on the other hand, dropped two games, had one washed out by rain, but crushed South Africa by 9 wickets in their semi.

The Indian squad boasts stars like Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, and Kuldeep Yadav.

New Zealand’s lineup includes Tim Seifert (wk), Finn Allen, Rachin Ravindra, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner (c), Cole McConchie, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson, Devon Conway, Kyle Jamieson, Ish Sodhi, and Jacob Duffy.

As the teams gear up, the spiritual boost from Hanumanji’s darshan could be the edge India needs in this blockbuster finale. Fans are united in their belief that glory awaits the Men in Blue.
