New Delhi, March 7: Union Minister of State Satish Chandra Dubey has praised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision to move to the Rajya Sabha, assuring that the veteran leader will continue overseeing the state’s development projects even from the national capital.

In an exclusive conversation with a leading news agency, Dubey highlighted Kumar’s transformative tenure. ‘Politics knows no retirement,’ he remarked, crediting Kumar with reshaping Bihar’s landscape. From the dark days of ‘jungle raj’ – a term synonymous with lawlessness – Kumar steered the state towards ‘sushasan’ or good governance. His achievements deserve endless applause.

Dubey emphasized Kumar’s commitment to justice and inclusive growth. Under his leadership, Bihar witnessed unprecedented development across sectors, with a unique focus on uniting all communities. No group was left behind; every section of society benefited from his policies.

‘Whenever Bihar’s progress is discussed, Nitish Kumar’s name inevitably comes up,’ Dubey stated. The CM’s impartial approach has earned him repeated mandates from the people. Recently, Kumar filed his nomination for Rajya Sabha, a move Dubey respects fully. Even from Delhi, Kumar vows to contribute to a developed Bihar, keeping a close watch on ongoing initiatives.

Shifting focus to West Bengal, Dubey slammed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s opposition to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. ‘Her power base is slipping, hence the drama and confusion,’ he quipped. The Election Commission, a constitutional body, operates impartially, he added, urging the TMC government to stop making excuses. Bengal’s voters, he predicted, are ready for a BJP wave.
