Mumbai’s entertainment scene is buzzing as Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ trailer drops, igniting a firestorm of reactions across social media. Packed with high-octane action, intense drama, and a gripping revenge narrative, the two-minute teaser has adrenaline junkies hooked from the first frame.

However, the trailer’s reception isn’t unanimous. While one segment of viewers is hailing it as a patriotic powerhouse, portraying it as India’s bold strike back against cross-border threats, another group is crying foul. Critics argue that the film shamelessly exploits religious fault lines—pitting Hindu-Muslim dynamics and invoking Sanatan values—to guarantee box-office success.

Ranveer Singh, stepping into the shoes of Hamza Ali, delivers a powerhouse performance that has fans chanting his name. ‘The king of Lyari is back!’ exclaims one enthusiast, reminiscing about the original’s iconic villain Rahman Dakait. The trailer’s raw energy and Singh’s ferocious action sequences have set expectations sky-high for the March 19 release.

On the flip side, detractors aren’t holding back. They claim the makers have woven in hyper-nationalistic and communal angles to manipulate audience emotions, blurring the lines between fiction and reality. ‘This isn’t cinema; it’s propaganda disguised as entertainment,’ one user vented. ‘In India, fooling people with Hindu-Muslim rhetoric is the easiest path to hits.’

Despite the divide, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ stands poised to dominate theaters unchallenged. Initially set to clash with Yash’s ‘Toxic,’ the latter has shifted to June, clearing the decks for Ranveer’s solo showdown. With the first installment’s blockbuster legacy, industry insiders predict this sequel could shatter records and redefine action thrillers.
