Dehradun buzzed with excitement on Saturday as Union Home Minister Amit Shah touched down at Jolly Grant Airport for his much-anticipated visit to the hill state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami personally greeted the senior BJP leader with a floral bouquet, marking a warm welcome amid high spirits across Uttarakhand.

Dhami wasted no time sharing the moment on social media platform X, posting a photo with Shah and praising him as the architect of cooperative prosperity and a strong, secure India. ‘Heartily welcomed the esteemed Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah at Jolly Grant Airport upon his arrival in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand,’ the CM wrote.

From the airport, Shah swiftly departed by helicopter to Haridwar, where he was set to headline the state government’s ‘4 Years Unmatched’ event at Baidagi Camp ground. This grand program showcases the Pushkar Singh Dhami administration’s key achievements over its four-year tenure. Attendees eagerly awaited Shah’s address, while he also planned to tour a special exhibition highlighting government initiatives.

Security was airtight for the public rally. Multiple layers of protection encircled the venue, with senior police and administrative officials overseeing every detail to ensure a smooth, peaceful gathering. The administration left nothing to chance, reflecting the event’s significance.

The stage brimmed with BJP heavyweights, including Saurabh Bahuguna, Ramesh Pokhriyal, Tirath Singh Rawat, Vijay Bahuguna, Swami Yatishwaranand, Ajay Bhatt, Subodh Uniyal, Ajay Tamta, Trivendra Singh Rawat, Dhan Singh Rawat, Vijayraj Lakshmi, Rekha Arya, Satpal Maharaj, and Anil Baluni. Their presence underscored the party’s unity and momentum in the state.

By morning, crowds had swelled at Baidagi Camp ground. BJP workers, supporters, and saints from various districts poured in, filling thousands of chairs. The venue was nearly packed, with palpable enthusiasm as people gathered to hear Shah’s vision for Uttarakhand’s future. This visit signals a boost for the ruling government’s outreach ahead of key political milestones.
