In a moment of immense pride for Bihar, Ujjwal Priyank from Vaishali district has secured the 10th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Hailing from Bidupur Panchayat’s Dilawaripur Purvi Tola, this young achiever has illuminated the name of his village, block, district, and the entire state. The air is filled with joy in his family, neighborhood, and even at his maternal uncle’s place, as congratulatory messages pour in relentlessly.
Ujjwal is the only son of engineer Sanjeev Kumar, who doubles as a skilled farmer managing orchards of mangoes and more from afar while fulfilling family duties at home. From his early days, Ujjwal shone brightly in academics. He completed his schooling up to Class 12 under the CBSE board, starting with high school at Gyan Niketan School in Patna.
His academic journey continued seamlessly. In 2016, Ujjwal aced his Class 10 CBSE exams with a perfect 10 CGPA. He then pursued intermediate studies at St. Michael’s School in Digha, followed by a B.Tech in Computer Science from Jaipur Engineering College. This third attempt at UPSC proved to be the charm, crowning his persistent efforts.
The triumph resonates deeply with his grandparents in Sonpur, Saran district—Nana Gopalpur Prasad Sharma and mother Anamika—who brim with pride. At his ancestral home, father Sanjeev Kumar, affectionately called Jugnu, is swamped with well-wishers. Ujjwal attributes his success to unwavering hard work and dedication, a mantra echoed by toppers across India as celebrations erupt nationwide.
