Agartala, March 6 – Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha unleashed a sharp critique against the opposition CPI-M on Friday, accusing them of harboring delusions of snatching power back from the BJP while the ruling party remains laser-focused on public welfare.

Speaking at the BJP’s ‘Yuva Shankhnad’ program in Dharmanagar, North Tripura district, Saha dismissed the Left’s fantasies of internal BJP conflicts leading to a Left Front revival. ‘Despite being a small state, Tripura is surging ahead on every front,’ he declared. ‘We’ve clinched 347 national awards, yet the opposition turns a blind eye to our real progress.’

The CM highlighted the state’s transparent governance model, emphasizing relentless work from dawn to midnight for the people’s benefit. He contrasted this with the opposition’s idle hopes. ‘They’re dreaming of BJP infighting and plotting a comeback, but we’re too busy delivering results,’ Saha said.

Saha paid emotional tribute to late Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen, whose sudden demise on December 26 last year left an irreplaceable void. ‘Sen dreamed of Dharmanagar’s all-round development and was passionate about Jatra and theater. We’ll fulfill his vision through action, not just words,’ he vowed.

Under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, Tripura has transformed from a security hotspot to a beacon of peace in the Northeast. ‘Earlier, traveling to Agartala required armed escorts; now, tranquility prevails,’ Saha noted. He accused the opposition of cozying up to former adversaries involved in violence, terrorism, and arson, all in a bid for power.

Tripura’s feats didn’t go unnoticed nationally. At a chief secretaries’ meeting in Delhi, PM Modi himself praised the state for topping deregulation and compliance rankings, urging larger states to emulate it. Saha underscored this as proof of the BJP’s commitment: work over whispers, development over daydreams.
