RANCHI: Holi festivities are lighting up Jharkhand on Monday, with Ranchi and villages across the state immersed in a riot of colors and traditional revelry. From dawn, streets buzzed with laughter as families and friends smeared abeer and gulal on each other, exchanging warm greetings.
Community events sprang up everywhere, featuring cultural performances and group celebrations that brought neighbors together. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar extended his wishes, calling Holi a festival of joy, unity, and brotherhood that infuses new energy into lives. He hoped it would strengthen harmony in society.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren shared heartfelt messages on social media, emphasizing Holi’s message of love and togetherness. ‘May this festival bring prosperity, hope, and happiness to every home,’ he posted, urging people to cherish relationships.
At the BJP state headquarters in Ranchi, party workers celebrated collectively under state president and MP Aditya Sahu and organization minister Karmaveer Singh. They renewed vows of unity and national service amid the colorful festivities. Opposition leader Babulal Marandi also wished for peace and prosperity.
