New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is set to embark on a significant two-day visit to Gujarat starting Wednesday. This trip underscores his ongoing engagement with organizational activities and religious institutions in the state.

Bhagwat will arrive in Ahmedabad around 10:30 AM on Wednesday, heading straight to the RSS provincial office. In the evening, from 4:45 PM to 6:15 PM, he will visit the Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Vadtaldham, Kheda district. There, he will offer prayers and hold discussions with the temple’s saints, reinforcing ties between the RSS and spiritual centers.

On Thursday morning, Bhagwat’s itinerary includes a major event at Jetalpurdham Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Ahmedabad. He will participate in the bicentennial celebration (Dwishatabdi Patotsav) honoring Shri Revati Baldevji Harikrishna Maharaj, scheduled from 9:30 AM to 11:45 AM. This will involve devotional rituals and interactions with the temple’s religious community.

The visit wraps up Thursday evening as Bhagwat departs from Ahmedabad around 4 PM. This tour is part of his routine travels to review RSS operations across states amid evolving circumstances.

Bhagwat has made several trips to Gujarat in recent years. In mid-October 2024, he spent three days focusing on the organization’s centenary preparations, meeting leaders and attending programs. Earlier, in January 2024, he visited Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram in Dharmapur, engaging with spiritual guides and ashram residents.

Previous visits have seen him conduct meetings with swayamsevaks and officials in cities like Ahmedabad and Surat. These engagements highlight the RSS chief’s commitment to blending organizational expansion with cultural and religious outreach, strengthening the sangh’s footprint in vibrant Gujarat.
