Mumbai, March 3: Bollywood actress Isha Gupta has finally made it back home safely after being stranded in Dubai due to unprecedented missile strikes and airspace closures. In a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday, the actress shared her ordeal, praising the UAE government’s swift response while expressing gratitude for the prayers that saw her through.
The chaos began on February 28 when Isha was at Abu Dhabi airport. ‘Around 1 PM, the airport shut down abruptly. Panic spread everywhere as news of missile attacks broke. Strangers comforted each other, frantically calling loved ones,’ she recounted in her note.
Despite the fear, Isha highlighted the professionalism of UAE authorities. Airport staff remained calm, managing the situation efficiently. Unable to check in, she returned to her hotel. That night, she learned stranded passengers received cash for food and were bused to hotels across Abu Dhabi.
By 9 PM, organized transport ferried people to safety. The government pre-emptively instructed hotels to accommodate families and friends together, ensuring no one was separated. Continuous alerts from the Interior Ministry kept everyone informed, advising shelter and later reassuring calm.
Hotel staff shone through the crisis, answering questions patiently and maintaining all services. The lobby buzzed with anxious travelers, yet no chaos ensued. Security teams provided constant reassurance.
‘Everyone was scared but united,’ Isha noted. Airlines offered rebooking or refunds, though she and friends persistently called for updates. ‘This shows a nation’s true strength—quick, decisive action without blame,’ she wrote, thanking UAE officials and acknowledging India’s support in her repatriation.
Isha’s safe return underscores the resilience amid regional tensions, with her story serving as a testament to effective crisis management.
