In a shocking late-night incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district, a head constable on duty at Amrohan Nagar police station became the target of a brutal assault. Rahul Kumar was viciously attacked from behind by an unidentified man wielding a sharp iron weapon. The blows landed severely on his shoulder and ear, leaving him with serious injuries.
Eyewitnesses and quick-acting police personnel apprehended the assailant immediately after the attack. Kumar was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors reported his condition as stable following initial treatment. The suspect, who has been unable to provide coherent details about his identity, appears to be mentally unstable based on preliminary questioning.
Amroha SP Amit Anand confirmed the arrest and registration of a case against the accused. Investigations are underway to assess the man’s mental health and uncover the motive behind the unprovoked violence. ‘We are probing all angles,’ the SP stated, emphasizing the police’s commitment to a thorough inquiry.
Meanwhile, in a separate tragedy in Farrukhabad, a young man was fatally stabbed by his paternal uncle amid a family dispute.
