Patna, March 2 – As tensions escalate between Israel, the US, and Iran in the Middle East, Union Minister Giriraj Singh has fired back at opposition critics. Dismissing attacks from Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Singh asserted that the global community places unwavering trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to reporters amid demands from Congress and other opposition parties for clarity on India’s stance in the brewing conflict, Singh declared, ‘The eyes of the entire world are on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is a matter of pride for India. Whether Rahul Gandhi and his ilk hurl abuses at the PM, the world continues to repose faith in Modi’s leadership.’
The minister’s comments come at a critical juncture, with Middle East hostilities intensifying and raising concerns over regional stability. Singh highlighted Modi’s central role in international diplomacy, positioning India as a key observer and influencer.
JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar echoed similar sentiments, urging an early resolution to the crisis. ‘India has always championed non-violence and non-alignment. PM Modi has appealed to Israel for peace,’ he told IANS. Kumar also flagged worries about Indian nationals, particularly from Bihar and central India, residing in the region.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has reached out to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, voicing concerns for citizens’ safety and pressing for protective measures.
Bihar Minister Ramkripal Yadav reinforced India’s peace-loving foreign policy. ‘Our nation promotes harmony worldwide, not just with neighbors. PM Modi has expressed worry over the Iran-Israel-US tensions in line with this approach,’ he stated.
RLD chief Upendra Kushwaha called for global peace, emphasizing that everyone benefits from calm. ‘The world must heed PM Modi’s words,’ he added.
These reactions underscore a unified Bihar leadership backing Modi’s diplomacy amid geopolitical storms, contrasting sharply with domestic opposition barbs.
