New Delhi: An Indian national injured in recent Iranian missile attacks on the United Arab Emirates is out of danger, the Indian Embassy in UAE confirmed on Monday. The UAE Defense Ministry released details of the assault, revealing casualties from multiple nationalities, including deaths among Pakistani, Nepali, and Bangladeshi citizens.

The ministry’s update highlighted that 58 individuals from diverse backgrounds—ranging from Emirati and Egyptian to Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, and Afghan—suffered minor injuries. Amid the chaos, the Indian Embassy swiftly assured that their citizen, who sustained injuries, is stable and receiving comprehensive medical support.

UAE’s air force and defense units have been relentless in countering the barrage. Since the attacks began, they intercepted 165 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 541 Iranian drones. On the second day alone, 20 ballistic missiles were destroyed in mid-air, eight fell into the sea, alongside two cruise missiles and 311 drones neutralized.

Debris from the interceptions scattered across various regions, causing minor to moderate damage to civilian properties. The ministry underscored its unwavering commitment to public safety, prioritizing the protection of residents and visitors above all. As tensions simmer in the region, the embassy continues to monitor the situation closely, extending full assistance to affected Indians.
