RANCHI: In a spectacular display of devotion and solidarity, the Virat Hindu Sammelan unfolded at Sri Ram Mandir in Shriram Nagar, Chutia, drawing thousands from Ranchi and surrounding areas. The event, pulsating with energy and massive public participation, aimed to fortify unity, harmony, cultural awareness, and national spirit within society.

The program kicked off with a vibrant Kalash Yatra from the temple courtyard, where a large contingent of women devotees marched with fervor. The procession featured a grand Hanuman Garhi chariot carrying revered mahants, accompanied by resounding traditional music, leading participants to the main venue.

Vedic chants and lamp lighting marked the formal inauguration. The mahant of Sri Ram Mandir, Chutia, opened the addresses, declaring the gathered crowd not just a multitude, but a symbol of an awakened and organized society. He invoked the ancient Vedic mantra ‘Sangachchhadhvam Samvadadhavam,’ urging collective progress and dialogue.

Mahant Raju Das from Ayodhya’s Hanuman Garhi highlighted the RSS’s century-long efforts in organizing society, igniting patriotism, and safeguarding cultural values. He praised the organization’s relentless work over the past 100 years.

RSS Sah-Sarkaryavah Alok Kumar delivered the keynote, drawing from the Mahabharata to illustrate unity’s power. Recounting the epic battle between devtas and asuras, he explained how disunity spells defeat, while unity paves the path to triumph. Elaborating on the mantra ‘Sangachchhadhvam Samvadadhavam Samvo Manansi Janatam,’ Kumar emphasized that unified thoughts and actions form the true strength against any challenge.

Kumar celebrated Hindu society’s diversity—varied worship practices, deities, and traditions—as its cultural richness. Yet, he stressed the need to unite under one banner for common goals. Calling for social harmony, he condemned untouchability and invoked saints like Ravidas, Meera Bai, and Maharishi Valmiki, underscoring that Indian tradition values karma and bhakti over birth.

The conference saw active involvement from saints, women groups, Gayatri Parivar, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Jagran Manch, local committees, and RSS volunteers. Prominent attendees included Girdharilal Mahto, Vishal Ji, Gopal Sharma, and many others, making it a resounding call for collective Hindu resurgence.
