Patna, March 1: In a heartfelt tribute on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s 75th birthday, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary visited his residence to extend warm wishes and greetings. Choudhary showered praise on Kumar, calling him the ‘Development Man,’ ‘Sushasan Babu,’ and a leader beloved by the masses.
Under Kumar’s leadership, the NDA government has propelled Bihar to new heights in development and good governance, Choudhary asserted. He prayed for Kumar’s robust health, long life, and unwavering strength for public service. Choudhary highlighted how Kumar rescued Bihar from the ‘jungle raj’ era before 2005, establishing the rule of law and integrating the state into the national development mainstream.
Remarkable strides have been made in roads, electricity, water supply, healthcare, and education. The NDA regime’s landmark initiatives for women’s empowerment stand out, including 50% reservation for women in panchayat elections—the first in India—and empowering women through the Jeevika program. Today, Jeevika sisters manage businesses worth over ₹60,000 crore. Over the past two decades, nearly 60 lakh jobs and employment opportunities have been created, with Bihar’s growth rate reflecting its rapid progress on the development path.
Choudhary concluded with a prayer that Nitish Kumar remains healthy, long-lived, and energetic, continuing to guide Bihar towards newer developmental horizons.
