In a thrilling conclusion to the series, Australia crushed India by 185 runs in the third women’s ODI at Bellerive Oval, Hobart. The match marked the final ODI appearance for captain Alyssa Healy, who couldn’t have scripted a better send-off in the iconic yellow jersey.

Healy’s explosive 158 off 98 balls, featuring 27 fours and 2 sixes, powered Australia to a mammoth 409/5. Beth Mooney complemented her with a century, scoring 106 off 84 deliveries. Healy reflected post-match, ‘Ending my ODI career with a win and a memorable knock fills me with pride. The yellow jersey farewell doesn’t get better than this.’

Chasing 410, India folded for 224 all out. Australia’s bowlers dominated, with Alana King claiming 4/33 in 10 overs and Georgia Wareham picking up 2 wickets. Healy admitted the emotional weight of milestone games but savored the joy on the field.

‘Cricket has a funny way of knocking you down and then lifting you up like today,’ she said. ‘I just wanted to enjoy this one without the pressure.’ Her ODI career stats are stellar: 126 matches, 3,777 runs at 37 average, including 8 centuries and 19 fifties.

The series win – Australia’s third straight victory over India – sets the stage for the pink-ball Test at WACA. Healy leaves an indelible legacy, inspiring future generations in women’s cricket.
