In a swift operation, Garhwa police have cracked the shocking daylight murder of Deepak Choudhary in Biharka market under Bhandaria police station. Three suspects—Vijay Singh, Jethu Singh, and Sarju Choudhary—have been arrested, along with the murder weapon and two motorcycles used in the crime.
The incident unfolded on February 25 evening around 6:30 PM in the bustling Bizka market. Eyewitnesses reported that Deepak, a vegetable vendor from Fakiradih village, was suddenly fired upon by an assailant. Three bullets struck him, causing him to collapse in a pool of blood. Panic ensued as shoppers fled in all directions amid the gunfire.
Local residents and family rushed the critically injured man to MMC Hospital in Medininagar, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The brazen attack in a crowded marketplace sent shockwaves through the community, prompting immediate police action.
Under the directives of Garhwa Superintendent of Police, a special task force led by Ranka Subdivision Police Officer was formed. Leveraging technical surveillance and intelligence inputs, the team identified and apprehended the perpetrators within days.
Investigations revealed a deep-seated land dispute between victim Deepak Choudhary and prime accused Sarju Choudhary. Enraged over the longstanding feud, Sarju allegedly masterminded the plot, enlisting Vijay and Jethu to execute the killing. Authorities have registered cases under relevant sections and are proceeding with legal proceedings.
This breakthrough underscores the police’s commitment to maintaining law and order in Garhwa district, reassuring residents that no stone will be left unturned in delivering justice.
