Beijing, March 1 – The Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) convened its 15th meeting today in the Chinese capital. In a key decision, the committee approved the agenda for the fourth session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, set to kick off on March 4 in Beijing.

This annual gathering holds immense significance as China’s top political advisory body convenes to deliberate on national priorities. The session’s centerpiece will be the presentation of the Standing Committee’s work report, alongside a thorough review of proposals implemented since the previous plenum.

Delegates will also attend the fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC), where they will scrutinize pivotal documents including the government work report and other critical assessments. Expect in-depth discussions on these reports, reflecting the CPPCC’s role in fostering consensus on China’s path forward.

A highlight of the proceedings will be rigorous deliberations on the draft outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development. This blueprint will shape China’s socioeconomic trajectory through 2030, addressing growth strategies, innovation drives, and sustainable development goals.
