In a major breakthrough, Janakpuri police in Delhi have arrested three suspects in a daring theft case, recovering stolen property worth Rs 1.15 crore. The operation unfolded after a burglary at a local store and residence in Pasangipur village, highlighting the force’s swift response to rising crime concerns.

The incident came to light on February 22, 2026, when owners of Ashok Envelope Store returned to find their property ransacked. Walls were broken, locks smashed across three floors, and valuables missing. Gold jewelry, diamond pieces, silver items, and cash had vanished overnight, prompting an immediate FIR at Janakpuri station.

Under SHO Inspector Kuldeep Kumar Tiwari, a dedicated team including SIs Manoj Kumar and Ashish, along with constables, launched a meticulous probe. Technical surveillance and secret tips led to the arrest of two suspects, CCL ‘X’ and ‘Y’, near Pasangipur Park on February 24. Intense interrogation pinpointed main accused Divyansh Sharma alias Babboo, who was swiftly nabbed.

Raids based on their confessions yielded 650 grams of gold ornaments, 3 kg of silverware, Rs 7,00,119 in cash, and other valuables. Even the motorcycle used in the heist was recovered. Valued at Rs 1.15 crore, the haul marks a significant win for law enforcement.

The case is registered under relevant BNS sections, with ongoing checks into the accused’s criminal past. Police assure further probes to uncover any accomplices, reinforcing Delhi’s commitment to public safety amid urban crime challenges.
