In a heartfelt tribute to India’s freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad on his 95th death anniversary, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced the construction of a magnificent ‘Azad Park’ at his birthplace in Bhabra, Alirajpur district. The park, costing Rs 5 crore, will stand as a symbol of courage and patriotism in Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar.
Speaking at the Azad Smriti Samaroh in Alirajpur, CM Yadav described his visit to the site as a moment of immense pride and inspiration. ‘Coming to the land where Chandrashekhar Azad was born fills me with honor,’ he said. ‘We will build the Azad Park here with Rs 5 crore to immortalize his legacy.’
The Chief Minister recounted Azad’s legendary bravery, recalling how at just 14 years old, when asked his father’s name in court, the young revolutionary declared, ‘My father’s name is Freedom, my mother’s name is Independence, and my home is in jail.’ Such unyielding spirit, Yadav emphasized, is what true leaders embody.
Highlighting Alirajpur’s tribal heritage, CM Yadav portrayed the region not merely as a geographical area but as a cradle of valor, pride, and sacrifice. He outlined the state government’s commitment to welfare schemes aimed at uplifting the poorest citizens, ensuring dignity and security in their lives.
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Madhya Pradesh is scaling new heights of development, Yadav asserted. The BJP government prioritizes every life, ready to airlift patients for treatment if needed. He sharply criticized past Congress regimes for darkness and stagnation, contrasting it with the light of progress now reaching every village under BJP rule.
On this occasion, CM Yadav inaugurated 14 development projects worth over Rs 171 crore and laid foundation stones for 35 more in Alirajpur. He also honored women from self-help groups with certificates of appreciation, reinforcing the government’s focus on inclusive growth.
