Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have reached a boiling point following recent cross-border military actions. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a stern warning, declaring that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to deliver a decisive retaliation against any aggression.

In a statement shared widely on social media, Sharif emphasized the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s military. ‘Our people and security forces stand ready to defend the nation’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity at all costs,’ he asserted. He highlighted the capabilities of the Pakistani army to thwart any hostile intentions, underscoring their readiness to crush invading forces.

Sharif praised Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the leadership of the defense forces for their spirited commitment to duty. He described the military as professionally equipped, highly trained, and armed with effective defensive strategies capable of handling both internal and external threats. ‘No compromise will be made on defending our dear homeland, and every attack will be met with a fitting response,’ the premier added.

Pakistan has consistently advocated for peace in the region, Sharif noted, but it will not tolerate any threats to its integrity. The entire nation stands united behind its armed forces, shoulder to shoulder, ready to face any challenge.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan. They discussed recent regional developments, particularly the escalating situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Dar informed Fidan about Pakistan’s unprovoked yet resolute counterstrike, dubbed ‘Operation Gazab Lil Haq,’ which involved successful air operations to safeguard sovereignty.

Both leaders stressed the need for peace and stability in the region and agreed to stay in close contact amid evolving circumstances. As the standoff continues, eyes are on how these rhetoric-filled exchanges might influence border dynamics and diplomatic efforts.
