GANDHINAGAR: The much-anticipated Gujarat Board examinations for Class 10 and 12 commenced on Thursday, marking a significant milestone for over 15 lakh students across the state. In a heartwarming gesture, Gujarat’s Education Minister Rivaba Jadeja visited an exam center in Gandhinagar’s Sector-23, personally uplifting the spirits of appearing students.

Arriving at the school early, Minister Jadeja engaged directly with the young examinees, urging them to approach the exams with confidence rather than anxiety. ‘Exams are like a festival,’ she declared, encouraging them to celebrate this phase with joy and poise. ‘They shape your future, so embrace them fearlessly with a calm mind.’

In a traditional welcome, she greeted each student with flowers, pens, and writing pads, even sweetening their mouths as per custom for auspicious beginnings. Her personal touch extended to inspecting facilities, reviewing security measures including CCTV installations, and discussing arrangements with school staff.

Speaking to the media, Jadeja highlighted the robust preparations. ‘With 15 lakh-plus students participating, we’ve ensured a secure environment through coordinated efforts of education, police, and district authorities. A dedicated control room and helpline stand ready for support.’ She emphasized comprehensive monitoring from flying squads to sensitive centers, underscoring the exams’ pivotal role in students’ academic journeys.
