Gandhinagar is buzzing with anticipation as over 16.63 lakh students across Gujarat prepare to sit for their Class 10 and 12 board examinations beginning February 26. The state government has rolled out comprehensive measures to ensure a smooth, secure, and stress-free experience for every participant.

Education Minister Jitu Vaghani extended heartfelt wishes to students and their parents ahead of the exams. In a motivational address, he urged young minds to view these tests not as a source of anxiety but as a golden opportunity for growth. ‘Exams mark the start of an exciting new chapter, not the end of the road,’ he emphasized, encouraging confidence and a pressure-free approach to answering papers.

Drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ session, Vaghani highlighted Modi’s advice on self-belief. The PM had reassured students to embrace their unique talents, focus on strengths, and tackle exams without worry. This message resonates deeply as lakhs gear up for the challenge.

Breaking down the numbers, more than 9.07 lakh students will appear for Class 10, while Class 12 sees over 5.01 lakh in the general stream and 1.19 lakh in science. Registrants for GUJCET add to the massive total of 16.63 lakh examinees statewide.

The government, under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and with Deputy CM Harsh Sanghvi’s support, has fortified exam centers with top-notch facilities and stringent security. Vaghani appealed to parents to foster a supportive home environment, keeping pressures at bay and boosting morale instead.

To students, he advised maintaining calm during the papers: ‘Keep your mind steady, express what you know with clarity, and trust your hard work will shine through.’ With these preparations in place, Gujarat’s academic future looks bright.
