Mumbai, February 25. Actor Mihir Ahuja is buzzing with excitement over his latest web series ‘Shabd – Rit aur Rivaaj’, where he steps into the shoes of Ghuppi Singh. For Mihir, the real test of acting prowess comes when there’s not a single line to deliver.
In an exclusive chat, he shared his insights on the power of silence. ‘Silence in acting speaks volumes more than words ever could,’ Mihir remarked. ‘We spend hours memorizing dialogues and perfecting their delivery, but the true magic unfolds in scenes stripped bare of text. Behind every scripted line lies a subtext – raw emotions, unspoken thoughts, hidden intentions. When a scene demands pure silence, bringing that subtext to life becomes the ultimate display of skill. The beauty in those moments runs deeper than any spoken word.’
Ghuppi Singh, the 16-year-old character Mihir portrays, battles a lifelong stutter. His father, the renowned bhajan singer Harminder Singh, dreams of Ghuppi carrying forward the family legacy in devotional music. Yet, Ghuppi’s heart beats for football. The series masterfully explores generational clashes, the weight of familial expectations, and the pursuit of personal dreams with touching sensitivity.
Joining Mihir, co-star Suvinder Vicky highlighted the show’s emphasis on emotional depth and intricate storytelling. The set buzzed with positivity and teamwork, they revealed. ‘The narrative weaves through relationships, faith, ambitions, and pressures, resonating universally across languages and cultures,’ they added.
Mihir Ahuja has carved a niche with standout roles in films and series like Super 30, The Archies, and Mission Over Mars, proving his versatility time and again.
