Experts at the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga emphasize that yoga offers effective solutions for both physical and mental woes.

    Yoga specialists recommend incorporating ‘Tiryak Bhujangasana,’ or the Twisting Cobra Pose, alongside a balanced diet to alleviate these problems significantly. This beginner-friendly asana is performed lying on the stomach, making it accessible to all fitness levels.

    The Ministry of AYUSH highlights its numerous benefits. This pose enhances spinal flexibility, eases back and neck pain, strengthens lungs, and stimulates abdominal organs like the liver and digestive system. It also relieves shoulder tension and helps manage menstrual discomforts.

    Regular practice reduces stress and aids in trimming waist fat, but pairing it with healthy eating is key. To perform it, lie face down with feet slightly apart. Place palms near shoulders, elbows touching the body. Inhale deeply, lift the chest and upper body while keeping the lower body grounded. Exhale, twist the head and torso to the right, aiming to glimpse the left heel over the right shoulder without overstraining. Hold comfortably, breathe normally, then return to center. Repeat on the left.

    Yoga experts note that consistent practice can free the body from various ailments. However, avoid it if you have severe back injuries, hernia, or recent abdominal surgery. Start today for a more flexible, pain-free spine.
