In a shocking incident, Vीर Soren, the grandson of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, has tragically passed away while vacationing in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district. The young man was enjoying a trip with friends in the snowy paradise of Manali when his health suddenly deteriorated, leading to his untimely demise.
Champai Soren, along with his son Bablu Soren and other family members, immediately left for Shimla upon receiving the heartbreaking news. Local authorities in Kullu have taken custody of the body, and investigations into the exact cause of death are underway. Initial reports suggest Vीर complained of a severe headache after returning from a snow adventure.
According to eyewitness accounts from his friends, the group had spent the day exploring popular spots like Solang Nala and Hampta Snow Point. They returned to their homestay on Monday evening, full of excitement from skating on the ice. The next morning, while others went out again, Vír stayed back. By afternoon, he reported intense head pain, took some medication provided by friends, and went to rest.
Around 2:30 PM, friends heard a thud from his room. Rushing in, they found Vír fallen from the bed. They rushed him to the Civil Hospital, but despite CPR efforts, doctors declared him dead on arrival. Foam was seen coming from his mouth en route, raising questions about possible altitude sickness or an allergic reaction.
The news has sent shockwaves through Jharkhand’s political circles and the Kolhan region, where the Soren family holds significant influence. Champai Soren, a prominent tribal leader and JMM stalwart, is en route to claim the body. As the family mourns, tributes are pouring in for the young Vír, remembered as vibrant and adventurous.
This tragedy underscores the risks of high-altitude tourism in the Himalayas, where sudden medical emergencies can turn vacations deadly. Authorities are awaiting postmortem results to ascertain the precise cause, while the homestay and medication details are under scrutiny.
