In a landmark move to propel Uttar Pradesh into the future of aerospace innovation, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held high-level talks in Germany with Quantum-Systems GmbH, a German-Israeli leader in cutting-edge drone technology. The discussions focused on establishing state-of-the-art manufacturing and R&D hubs in UP, leveraging quantum-based systems to lay the foundation for a new industrial era.

Maurya emphasized that these advanced technologies will transform Uttar Pradesh’s industrial landscape, creating high-skilled jobs and positioning the state as India’s drone capital. Company executives showcased their high-altitude unmanned platforms capable of 160 km operational range, already in use by German and Spanish armed forces for defense reconnaissance and aerial surveillance.

The meeting also drew presentations from top German firms like Helsing with its HX-2 AI combat drones, Droneivo GmbH, SIA Origin Robotics, and Aronia AG. They highlighted potential collaborations in AI-driven defense systems and drone detection tech.

Uttar Pradesh extended a formal invitation for Quantum-Systems to set up operations, with agreements on manufacturing, research, skill development, and technology transfer. ‘UP is racing ahead to become India’s premier hub for defense production and emerging tech,’ Maurya declared, crediting investor-friendly policies, robust infrastructure, and a vast skilled workforce.

This partnership aligns seamlessly with Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, bolstering India’s aerospace ecosystem while opening doors for precision agriculture, geo-surveys, and disaster management applications. As global investments flow in, UP’s youth stand to gain from a booming drone economy that promises security and growth in equal measure.
