Patna, February 24: In a high-level review meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Secretary Prayas Amrit, authorities have rolled out comprehensive plans to ensure a peaceful Holi celebration across the state. Conducted via video conferencing, the session brought together district magistrates and superintendents of police from all districts, underscoring the gravity of maintaining law and order during the festival.

The primary goal is to celebrate Holi in an atmosphere of harmony and tranquility on March 3 and 4. Police Director General Vinay Kumar issued firm directives for robust security arrangements. He emphasized strict surveillance on DJ systems, with immediate action against violators of noise regulations.

DG Kumar instructed all SPs to conduct thorough briefings for their officers and constables, ensuring they perform duties with utmost vigilance. Riot control squads must remain in ‘ready mode’ round-the-clock. Special checking teams will be formed for sensitive locations, while emergency services like Dial 112 and district coordination centers stay fully operational.

Hospitals and fire brigades have been ordered to be on high alert. Additional DGP (Law and Order) Pankaj Darad highlighted last year’s nearly 20 communal clashes during Holi, urging heightened caution in those districts. District magistrates must convene peace committee meetings without fail.

This proactive approach reflects Bihar’s commitment to a festival free from disruptions, fostering community spirit and safety for all residents.
