Patna, February 23. Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha unleashed a sharp rebuttal against RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s recent statements, lamenting the opposition’s apparent blindness to the state’s ongoing development initiatives. In a pointed address to journalists on Monday, Sinha highlighted the irony of Yadav’s criticism amid what he described as unprecedented progress across Bihar.

Sinha questioned how Yadav could possibly recognize Bihar’s transformation if he spends more time in Delhi or abroad rather than touring the state. ‘He needs to visit every town and village, engage with the people, to truly understand the government’s commitment to double-paced development,’ Sinha remarked. He accused Yadav of being clouded by political malice, refusing to acknowledge the visible strides in infrastructure, economy, and public services.

Turning to law and order concerns raised by Yadav, Sinha challenged the RJD leader to take concrete action instead of mere rhetoric. ‘If the situation is as dire as claimed, why isn’t he stepping up? Our government acts swiftly against culprits to uphold the rule of law,’ he asserted, expressing dismay at the opposition’s inaction.

On prohibition, Sinha defended the policy’s robustness, noting recent amendments targeting suppliers over consumers. ‘Prohibition is here to stay, with ongoing reviews to strengthen enforcement,’ he said. He directly questioned the opposition’s contributions to making it successful, branding their critiques as politically motivated.

In a broader swipe, Sinha claimed that both Bihar’s Leader of Opposition and his counterpart in Parliament are undermining the dignity of their positions through immaturity, a view he believes the nation shares. As Bihar marches forward, such partisan attacks only highlight the opposition’s disconnect from ground realities.
