New Delhi buzzed with political fireworks on Monday as BJP national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi unleashed a scathing critique of Congress workers’ disruptive antics during the prestigious AI Summit. In a riveting press conference, Trivedi painted a stark contrast: while India’s young talent dazzled with cutting-edge innovation, Congress stooped to what he called ‘vulgar and lowly’ demonstrations that shocked the nation.
The incident has ignited widespread outrage, with even Congress allies voicing discomfort and internal voices demanding decorum at global events. Trivedi highlighted former Union Minister Margaret Alva’s pointed remarks, emphasizing the need for responsibility and discipline on such platforms. ‘Congress must wake up,’ he asserted. ‘The public rejects their ideology, allies are distancing themselves, and now even senior party veterans are turning away.’
Delving deeper, Trivedi labeled this not as a fleeting lapse but a deep-rooted ‘dynastic malaise’ plaguing the Congress family. He drew a historical parallel to Jawaharlal Nehru’s 1955 defense of India’s snake-charmer image for tourist appeal, contrasting it with PM Narendra Modi’s vision propelling India into an AI powerhouse. ‘Your discomfort with our progress stems from clinging to outdated identities,’ Trivedi charged.
Trivedi predicted the electorate would ultimately cure this ‘family disease,’ noting Congress’s refusal to heed advisors. He spotlighted Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s admission of readiness to splurge Rs 1,000 crore on Gandhi family despite fiscal woes, challenging Congress to showcase their governance model against BJP’s acclaimed Gujarat blueprint.
With Congress ruling Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, Trivedi demanded: ‘Where is your model? What unique contributions from these states?’ He accused Congress of anti-national behavior and harming public interest in power, urging a national reckoning as India surges ahead under Modi’s leadership.
