Patna, February 23. In a scathing attack during Bihar Assembly’s budget session, RJD chief spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav accused the NDA government of total incompetence. Speaking after discussions on the appropriation bill, Yadav declared the ruling coalition utterly unfit to govern.
He highlighted a historic low: not a single opposition attention motion was allowed in days of assembly proceedings. ‘This is unprecedented and unfortunate,’ Yadav said, slamming the Speaker for deliberately silencing opposition voices on public issues. Such suppression, he warned, poses a grave threat to democracy.
Yadav criticized the absence of any development roadmap. The budget speech was rushed through in just 11 minutes, and the finance minister’s response today was equally perfunctory. Contractors and employees under government departments are facing payment delays, with bills from Rs 1 crore down to Rs 25 lakh pending, he alleged.
On law and order, Yadav painted a dire picture: murders continue unabated, turning ‘law and order’ into complete ‘disorder.’ The situation worsens daily. He questioned the Chief Minister’s conduct and public behavior, linking it to his declining health, and claimed the BJP now remotely controls the government from behind the scenes—a dangerous move for Bihar’s future.
As political tensions rise in the assembly, RJD’s broadside signals deepening opposition resolve ahead of key legislative battles.
