In a chilling tale of betrayal and vengeance from Ranchi, Jharkhand, a husband’s fury over his wife’s 15-year extramarital affair culminated in cold-blooded murder. Johnson Minj, unable to tolerate Asif Ansari’s persistent advances on his wife Biula Toppo, orchestrated the killing by hiring hitmen for a staggering 8 lakh rupees. Ranchi police have cracked the case, arresting all involved and seizing key evidence.
The murder unfolded in the Khelgaon police station area, where Asif was gunned down on February 19 in Anand Vihar neighborhood. To conceal his identity, the assailants brutally smashed his face and body with stones post-shooting. Sadar DSP Sanjeev Besra revealed that Asif and Biula had been in a illicit relationship for over 15 years, often meeting when Johnson was away.
Enraged by the affair, Johnson plotted with friend Deepak Agarwal. He paid Deepak 4 lakh, Prince Kumar 1.6 lakh, and Prem Lakda 2.4 lakh to execute the hit. Police recovered a country-made pistol, the motorcycle and scooter used in the crime, and other items from the accused.
This case exposes the dark underbelly of long-simmering personal grudges turning deadly. As investigations continue, Ranchi police urge the public to come forward with any additional information to ensure justice is served. The arrests of Biula Toppo, Johnson Minj, Deepak Agarwal, Prince Kumar, and Prem Lakda mark a significant breakthrough, highlighting the force’s commitment to tackling such heinous crimes.
